Film Credits

http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=dBJDtZNEMV8

This is a possible opening we will use to create the realism of  the opening two minutes of a film.
We found that Working Title was suitable for the opening credits compared to Universal or Warner Brothers as Working Title is a UK film company which reflects the setting, characters and dialogue used in our film.

EDITING OUR FILM

The software we are using to edit our film is Adobe, so far we have edited about one minute of our opening film. At the moment the film is looking ok, but not as good as we expected, due to the fuzziness and jumping when we are watching it on screen and also because the film is so dark, as we are trying to make the film look like it is night time. It is hard to tell what the actual finishing product will look like, but we are putting all our hard work and effort into the editing so hopefully it will pay off.

We thought making a filming schedule we be a good idea as it provides us with an easy and clear understanding of when we will be filming. We have made sure to include information such as, location ( however it will mostly stay the same), characters and miss-en-scene ( costumes, props etc). We will be adding more dates to it as we will be filming extra footage to make sure we have plenty of footage to pick and choose what scenes we want.

CHANGE OF THE STORYLINE

My group and I have decided to change our story line, as we felt that our previous story line wasn't believable and was starting to look nothing like a horror film. This encouraged us to think about changing the way in which the stories portrayed.

We have decided to exclude Ben (Ambrose) and Bel as too many people in the house didn't convey the horror theme correctly. We have decided to keep the killer (George) as he fits the build of a stereotypical killer, Emma will also still keep the main leading role of the vulnerable teenage girl. We hope this will improve our footage and provide us with a believable story.

The new story line consists of; Emma asleep in the bedroom but then she hears noises and becomes weary and frightened, she will then go down for a glass of water but see shadows of someone walking around outside the house, she then hears a noise and runs upstairs. The noises will stop so she will try and go back to sleep but when she opens her eyes the killer with a knife will be standing over her. She will scream but then realise everything was just a dream. Emma will then walk into the bathroom and splash her face with water however when she looks up into the mirror the killers face appears.

We are planning on filming tomorrow (Friday 4th March).
